How To Use a THCA Syringe

Many types of cannabis syringes with THCA are on the market. Here below are some common methods to consume the THCA syringes:  NOTE: If you want your oils, edibles and topicals product to have the psychoactive effects of THC, you have to heat THCa to convert it to THC.

Typically, THCa distillate must be heated at about 220°F (105°C) for 30-45 minutes to convert it to THC when using orally, topically or adding to food and drinks.

For easy application, with cap on, place in warm water for 20-30″ to loosen it up before use.

  1. Oral consumption
  2. Adding to Food and Drinks
  3. Topical Application
  4. Dabbing (no pre-heat necessary)

INGREDIENTS: Supercritical CO2 Extracted D8 distillate derived naturally from US grown hemp, natural and fruit terpene flavoring.

Easy to use. Just take it out of the package and insert into your favorite recipe or rig. Flavored with natural terpenes inspired by classic cannabis strains, for a unique flavor your taste buds will love!

Distillate syringes containing CBD, Delta 8 or Delta 9 THC do not typically need to be decarboxylated because the distillation process, which refines the cannabis extract, already activates the cannabinoids.

Absolutely NO artificial flavoring, no cutting agents, no PG/VG, no additives, and no preservatives of any kind

What is a dab?

The whole point of a dab, vape, joint, bong, or anything in that family is to use some form of heat to turn the active ingredients in cannabis (like CBD) into a gas so that you can inhale it and bring it straight to your bloodstream via the lungs. This allows you to bypass the liver (and a thing called first-pass metabolism where any foreign substances get degraded) and greatly increase the bioavailability of said active ingredients. Thing is, there are different ways to apply that heat and they each have pros and cons.

The best analogy here is, why use a bong instead of a pre-rolled joint? A bong uses water to cool and filter the cannabis smoke so that the stuff we want to go to your lungs (CBD) makes it there but we keep out some of the unwanted byproducts of combustion (ash and other toxins) and make it easier on the throat. Also, by its design, a bong also allows you to use more flower in a single hit compared to a typical joint. There is a trade-off of convenience, though – you can’t just discreetly whip a bong out of your pocket walking down the street (not that we advocate that anyway) – so you have to be willing to post up in a secure location and spend some time on the endeavor in order to get that bigger, better-quality hit.

A dab rig is to a vape cartridge as a bong is to a joint. While it uses a heated nail to vaporize wax concentrate instead of flame on flower, the mechanisms, advantages, and disadvantages are all similar. It takes a bit more time & effort but gives you a bigger hit that’s easier on the throat. Now since this is an uncut dab wax, it’s a cleaner hit to begin with, but we’ve had enough people special-order syringes for dabs and swear by the results that we decided it was worth offering to the world at large.

How to make Edibles with Concentrates:

Consider the dish you’ll infuse

The first step in cooking with concentrates is to consider the final product—are you making a salad dressing or a batch of brownies? Some concentrate consistencies are better suited for certain mediums, and some may leave a bitter aftertaste.

Concentrates with strong flavors, such as RSO, might be better in sweet edibles, where the flavor can be more effectively masked. Other less processed concentrates, such as live resin and waxes, have more flavor that will carry through into the infusion.

Select an infusing oil for edibles

Oils with high saturated fat contents are a great base oil for infusing with cannabis concentrates, such as coconut or avocado oil. Oils for infusion include:

  • Canola
  • Vegetable
  • Coconut
  • Olive
  • Avocado
  • Sesame
  • Peanut

Canola or vegetable oil will have more of a neutral flavor, while sesame and peanut oil have a specific flavor.

Additionally, oils have different consistencies at room temperature, so consider how you’ll be storing the oil.

Concentrates have different textures and consistencies, and some are easier to work with than others. Some are thick and gooey, like taffy or budder; some are hard and brittle, like shatter and isolates; and some are powdery, like kief. Thats why we prefer RESTART Delta 8 Dab Uncut Wax Syringes. Extremely easy to use, easy to measure and never messy!

Distillate has an oil-like consistency and is flavorless and scentless. It’s also appealing because it doesn’t need to be decarboxylated.

Make sure you only use concentrates that have been purchased through a licensed, legal market. You don’t want any contaminants in your edibles or body.

Dosing and measuring cannabis oils for edibles

Dosing homemade edibles is notoriously tricky. Here’s how to calculate an approximate dose with concentrates.

Determine these factors:

  • The weight of your concentrate (in grams)
  • The potency of the concentrate (THC% or CBD%)
  • The number of servings the cooked dish will yield (e.g., “makes a dozen cookies”)

To calculate, use this equation:

(weight of concentrate x THC% x 1,000) / number of servings

  • Multiply the weight of your concentrate (in grams) by the percentage of THC (as a decimal)
  • Multiply that number by 1,000 to convert grams to milligrams
  • Divide that number by the number of servings your recipe yields to determine milligrams of THC per portion

For example, .25 gram of a concentrate with 75% potency, should yield about 750mg of CBD: (1 x 0.50) x 1,000 = 350.

Then, 350mg of Delta 8 distributed throughout 15 cookies gives each cookie about 25mg of CBD. Mix well for an even distribution.

Make sure you know your preferred edible dose—most CBD edibles sold in shops come in 10-25 mg per serving.

When in doubt, start with a low dose, wait 45-60 minutes, and take more if you want stronger effects.

Cooking, baking, and infusing with concentrates

Cooking

Powdery concentrates and other concentrates that become soft during decarbing can be added directly to dishes.

When cooking, keep the heated pan under 300°F to maintain cannabinoids, terpenes, and other compounds. Add the concentrate toward the end of the cooking process, and stop cooking once it has dissolved.

Baking

Soft or powdery concentrates can also be added directly to a batch of brownies, cookies, or other baked goods. Be sure to mix thoroughly to spread the concentrate around evenly throughout the batch.

Infusing

If a concentrate is very thick, or putting a concentrate directly into your dish doesn’t sounds appealing, infuse it in oil or butter.

To infuse:

Add oil or butter and decarbed concentrate to a double-boiler, slow cooker, or saucepan, and simmer on low for 2-3 hours, keeping the temperature of the oil between 160-200ºF. The concentrate will melt into the infusion.

Let the infusion cool, and add it to any recipe. Use oil to make a salad dressing or to oil a pan before cooking, or use infused butter in place of regular butter for baking.

FAQs on using concentrates and dabs for edibles

Can you make edibles with dab? Yes.

Is distillate better than other concentrates for edibles?

Distillate is easier to use than other concentrates because it is already activated and doesn’t need to be decarboxylated. It can simply be added to food or drink and consumed to get high.

Can you use distillate in gummies?

Yes; distillate can be added to any food or drink, including gummies, and consumed to get high. It does not need to be decarboxylated first.

Ingredients: Our iDELTA8 Diamond – Delta 8 Syringe is pre-filled with a gram of hemp derived d8 distillate.

Our Flavors Are Hemp-Legal Cannabis Derived Terpenes

Blackberry Kush (Indica): Also known as BBK, this potent indica is often chosen for its relaxation potential and tasty finish. Evidently some earthlings claim to detect aromatic notes of ripe blackberries and fuel in this strain. This is a great choice for beginners who want a fruity taste to calm that potent cannabis grit. (Perhaps one day you can appreciate one of the rare delicacies of our world; Big bang berry beetles.…quite good with toast if you can catch them.)

Blue Dream (Sativa): A calming and euphoric sativa strain native to your California province. The taste blossoms with bright pine and sandalwood notes and hints of citrus-moss. We are told this could produce a full-body relaxation with gentle cerebral stimulation when used in humans. However, our personal experience has been nothing but recurring flashbacks of the “Smurfs” episodes that first alerted us to your existence when they beamed to our planet.

Northern Lights (Indica): Hailed as one of the rarest strains on your planet, this deep, floral, spicey, nutty-wood tasting indica produces a pleasant relaxation of the muscular system and of the delicate brain parts in your cranial vaults.  Stress and everything that comes with it all meet their match with this classic cannabis cultivar. Gaze up at the aurora borealis from northern latitudes, or just watch Windows 95 screensaver visualizations like we do as part of our psychedelic meditations on our planet.

Pineapple Express (Sativa): The namesake for one of our world’s most cherished examples of intellectual avant-garde human cinema, Pineapple Express is a sativa-dominant strain with tantalizing notes of pineapple and pine trees, but not pine nuts, Pine-Sol, or porcupines. Tackle your honey-do lists AND your cantaloupe lists with renewed energy and mental stimulation while you take a ride on this thundering locomotive.

Skywalker (Hybrid): Disney copyright laws have intergalactic effect so we can’t talk about whom this famous hybrid strain is named after. However, we CAN talk about the delectable piney skunky gasoline notes, and the perfect blend of body and mind relaxation you can expect from a true OG strain. You may feel like you can walk on air and/or wield a laser sword after indulging. Or perhaps you’ll just murder everything in your fridge while binge watching the original trilogy. We don’t judge.

White Recluse (Hybrid): Named after the albino arachnid pulled straight from your nightmares – we’ve confirmed this with telepathy instruments – this strain is another very well-balanced hybrid and was rather difficult to find. We fortuitously managed to locate it for your convenience, so you can enjoy the citrusy pungent shimmery cannabis taste  and happy “couch-lock” effects that may accompany a heavy dose. Tread lightly with this beast of a strain. It is truly the most unique strain of the bunch.
